CLR DEL

Clearance Delivery overview

CLR DEL is the scope for EKCH_DEL. Uncleared departures sit in airline bays; issuing a clearance automatically moves the strip to Cleared.

SI from Cleared is disabled in standard CLR DEL; enabled when DEL+SEQ is active.

Automatic SI handoff from Cleared depends on staffing:

  • Two or fewer apron positions online → SI hands off to Apron Departure.
  • Three apron positions online → SI hands off to SEQ PLN.

When DEL+SEQ is active, strips stay with EKCH_DEL in Cleared; the SI indicator changes (white vs orange) and delivery coordinates the handoff to apron at startup time.

  1. Click the Destination / Stand column on the strip.

    Open flight plan from strip

  2. Review and update fields in the flight plan editor.

    • Disabled — read-only; pilots must refile to change.
    • Dropdown — valid options for this strip.
    • Free-text — e.g. ROUTE.

  3. Click CLD to confirm the clearance and move the strip to Cleared.

CLR DEL only needs to act when a PDC request raises a validation or contains manual remarks.
